We are an International Missionary. Our official name is MISSIONARY SONS OF ST MULUMBA, but we are more often called “The Mulumbian Missionaries” because our patron saint is Mulumba Matthias Kalemba, One of the Martyrs of Uganda.
It is an institute of apostolic religious life whose member takes the three public Vows of Obedience, Poverty and Chastity. It is a diocesan clerical congregation, made up of the priests and Brothers who shares the same rights and duties. We depend on God and the prayers of St. Mulumba who set out to evangelize in humility, strong faith and passionate love for truth up to the shedding of his blood for Christ (martyrdom).
The Spirituality of our Congregation is that of Charity, Humility, Prayer, Penance and Abandonment to the will of God. It’s a dynamic growth of the Spirit of Christ as expressed in the gospel. We strive to imitate Christ, in order to be his faithful interpreters by our very lives.
We have it as our charism to bear witness to God, by following the footsteps of Christ the merciful Saviour and St. Mulumba. Our concern is for everyone but especially for the Youths, Family, and those whose lives are emptied by poverty, disease, famine or displacement.
Omnibus omnia factus sum, ut in quoquo salvos
